Technology plays an increasingly central role in modern society. Individuals and organisations conduct a significant part of their interactions through digital channels, and we either conduct or track more and more of our life in the digital space, de facto creating a digital footprint on everyday devices we use such as our mobile phones or smart watches.

As a result, digital evidence has become the most accessible and valuable source of artefacts and data to support investigations and intelligence. Investigations are concerned with understanding the truth, the story of when, what, where, by whom and why something has happened. Increasingly, answers to these questions are found on our digital footprint, assuming you have access to this digital evidence and the tools to help make sense of the vast and complex amount of data these sources hold.

The Digital Investigations & Intelligence Series is a series of events by Public Sector Network in partnership with Cellebrite, that is looking at the impact of the digital age on investigation and intelligence and the role of technology to allow investigators and intelligence practitioners to stay ahead of the game in this continuously evolving field.
