With the ongoing digital transformation of the NSW Government, cyber threats are not only changing, but are becoming increasingly complex. Policies and Procedures Centre
Policies and procedures convey an organisation's principles as well as expectations for staff performance and behaviour. They establish how problems with human resource management will be handled. Workplace policies frequently reaffirm and make clear normal operating practices. By clearly defining acceptable and undesirable behaviour in the workplace and outlining the consequences of breaking those policies, well-written policies assist employers in managing personnel more successfully. #policies, #cybersecurity, #corporateservices, #CIO, #datamanagement, #riskmanagement, #diversity, #governance, #finance, #procurement, #HR, #compliance

SA Government Service Innovation
The rapid adoption of digital and data technologies in recent times has meant that many government departments have experienced years’ worth of digital transformation in mere months. The challenge is now to keep up the momentum and continue to harness the power of innovation. ICT, cyber security, and digital government projects supported by strong data initiatives have become the pillars of innovative modern governments globally. The role of any local government is to provide services to their citizens, and local governments are particularly adept at that because “we are the closest government entity to the community; we deal with our residents on a day-to-day basis.” The City of Stonnington has “over 115,000 residents and many visitors coming to our famous streets and shopping districts.” As such, they have “over 100 different services and the equivalent of 34 separate small businesses,” all under the banner of one entity. However, until they started this transformation journey “three or so years ago,” most of these areas didn’t have …

It is critical we continue to listen and work with industry and experts to maintain and enhance cyber security capabilities and ensure we safeguard customer and government information, protect critical assets, …

HR & Future of Work Roadshow 2022 Highlights
The work of government and the way government works is changing, yet there continues to be a preoccupation with cost optimisation, cost reduction, and sustainable cost management. This has required HR to play its part, largely through making the HR function more efficient, but not necessarily more effective. The people aspect in government organisations contains some truly business-critical issues and the need for HR to rise to these challenges has never been more acute.
